I'm a big fan of the misunderstood, the vilified, the underdog, the breaking of myths.

Lucky Paws Rescue is a non-profit 501c3 organization in Western Washington State. We are small but mighty!

We will try to help any animal in need, but we are especially passionate about the underdogs that are overlooked because of their breed or health issues.

We give 100% to any animal we commit to. Funding and foster homes are always needed, and they are our biggest hurdles we face when saving lives.

We have raised money to give dogs a second chance who were going to be euthanized due to broken legs or training challenges.

These are dogs that are truly down on their luck and looking for their last chance. We have rescued and saved many cats as well that had no place to go.

We are foster home-based, so we cannot do this without their amazing support. We also work with many shelters to help get dogs out and adopted.

We have close relationships with many great veterinarians in the Western Washington area. Even if we cannot take an animal due to space or funding, we will always try to help find other alternatives by utilizing our rescue partners and other resources.

Our own adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, as well as a home visit. We want to ensure that once we have rescued an animal, that animal will never need to be rescued again. We ALWAYS have the animal’s best interest at heart.

In loving memory of Connie Gerry

Our world was a brighter place with Connie Gerry in it. Her sudden and unexpected passing left a huge and irreplaceable hole in the hearts of all who knew her.

Connie was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Her smile lit up any room she entered, and she could strike up a conversation with anyone. She was intelligent, kind, warm, and compassionate. She had a love and respect for all living things, with a special spot in her heart for animals. She connected easily with them, and they reciprocated. She was hands-on when it came to helping those in need; even getting two coyote puppies to safety when their den was being demolished by construction, raising them, and finding a wildlife sanctuary for them.

Connie was a huge supporter of us here at Lucky Paws Rescue. To celebrate the joy she brought us and to honor her legacy, we have established a Connie Gerry Memorial Fund. All donations made to this fund will go directly towards medical costs that will save more lives of the animals who need us.
